The Moon

When I walked on the home way after washing all of my dirty clothes on Friday evening, I saw a big circle moon hanging on the East sky. Suddenly I found out that Friday is the Mid-Autumn festival which was one of three important festivals in my home county which each member in the family got together. Sometimes I had BBQ celebration and I had to taste the traditional food, moon cake. The circle moon usually represented round and united. There were lots of legends about the moon in my county. This festival was much more different than before. It was my first time no parent around me to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival. However, I was not alone. I had roommates and classmates to accompany me here. I was surprised that I was also able to eat the traditional food, moon cakes, which were bought by one of my roommate from China town. I did not wait for eating them because I smelt the flavor of the home county. The moon cake decreased my serious homesick. Tonight I had a leisure time eating delicious moon cakes and seeing the round moon on the black sky.

I was very glad to celebrate the Moon Festival with you. Did you also feel that the moon at New York was seen to be larger and brighter than what we saw in Taiwan? It was true and interesting! Also, I like your pictures to record our first time on the Moon Festival at New York.
