Thanksgiving Dinner
I think Thanksgiving day is the most important festival for each American family. Because all of the children will go home during this holiday except the international students, like me. For example, my uncle lives in New Jersey and his son who lives in California now fly to home in order to see his parent and celebrate Thanksgiving day with them. My mentor, Charden, go home for one week, too. I think Rosa want international students to experience American Thanksgiving Dinner and invite us to eat dinner with American families. It is cool. I was assign to Dr. O'Keeffe' hose to eat Thanksgiving dinner. She has five children and now she is a grandmother. Her granddaughter is just a six-month girl baby who is so lovely. Before dinner, I sit on the sofa in the living, eat snakes with cheeze and talk to her children. The dinner is very delicious. I eat Turkey with Jellied cranberry, ham, yams with cinema, salad, and green beans. The dish I like most is the homemade bread which Dr O'Keeffe make. It tastes soft and smooth. I admire her cooking skill, especially the dessert. The dessert is excellent, too. I eat pumpkin pie, the cheese cake with ice cream and drink a cup of tea. Oh, it is a wonderful experience that I can remember forever.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is one of the most famous festival all over the world. I believe that the parade of this year must be more spectacular than before because this year is the 80th anniversary of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I feel lucky that I have a good chance to take part in the activity. I had planned to watch the parade in person, but, actually, I did not go there. Because it was so cold and rainy when I got up early at six o'clock morning that I decided to stay at home and watch the television. I saw all shapes of helium-filled balloons, elegant ballet dancers and the singers with beautiful voice showing in front of the Macy's building on TV. The performance was great. I like the snoopy helium-filled balloon very much. Although the height of the balloons this year is not as tall as last year because of the weather, the parade still attracts a lot of viewers. However, I feel a lot disappointed that I did not watch the parade in person. Thus, I swear that I will have to go to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade next year.

Yoga Mat
Yoga has become a popular exercise recently. There are many books about yoga selling in the bookstores. Some books introduce the right pose of the yoga, and the others describe that it is benefit for our health to do yoga. I think yoga helps us strengthen our bodies by doing yoga pose and release our tension by inhaling and exhaling. Although I have never been learned about any yoga pose before, today I buy one yoga mat. It is a little weird why I buy a yoga mat. In fact, I want to use it as a carpet which is laid on the floor in my room. Because cleaning the yoga mat is easier than the carpet. I am a lazy girl. The vacuum cleaner is not necessary in my house due to no carpet on the floor of my house. In addition, I will start to learn yoga now. I can learn yoga from the book or yoga class in school or some of my friends who learned yoga before. I believe that yoga is interesting and full of challenges.

Thanksgiving Dinner and Thanksgiving Jamboree
Thanksgiving day is coming soon. I am looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving day because this is my first time feeling Thanksgiving day here. In my opinion, only the United States of America has this memorial day, and no other countries do. I read some articles about the history of this holiday in my class and I know that President Roosevelt order this day to become the national holiday. The professor introduces some traditional food people usually eat on Thanksgiving day, such as turkey, corn, yams, cranberries and squash. I eat some of these traditional food in Thanksgiving dinner which is hold by Rosa. Rosa invites international students and out-of -state students to enjoy a big dinner and happy reunions. After dinner, I see a amazing show, Thanksgiving Jamboree. There are piano shows, guitar shows and dancing shows. All of the performers play very well. I like the dance troupe most because their pose and action shows the strength and beauty and music convey the emotion. They say a story by dancing and using their bodies. It is a great night.

Frost Valley YMCA
I went to the Frost Valley YMCA for three day with the Project A.I.M on this weekend. I left the school for upsate New York on Friday evening. Before leaving, all of the participators ate together Chinese food as the dinner that Rosa prepared for us. The dinner is as delicious as the food of a five-star restaurant. When we arrived to our detination, the dark sky had been full of the bright stars. The stars there was much clearer and brighter than those in New York City. Next day, I finally saw the Fall view of the Frosr Valley that was beautiful. Most leaves of the trees were gone and the air was fresher. In addition, I had differnet activities and busy schedules everyday, such as icebreaking activity, intercultural diversity sknit, karaoke and team building which was YMCA program. I cooperated with my group to solve any situation and told them my opinions breavely. They all had plenty of tolerance and patience to accept the oppsite thoughts. After three-day retreat, our relationship had become more closely, like a big family. Thus, I would not forget this great trip.

The UN trip
Today I go to the United Nations with the Project A.I.M. It is a little pity that I do not see any flag waving in front of the UN building because today is weekend. I think all flages of the member state waving are spectaclar and attractive. When entering in the building, there is a nice guide intrducing anything about the UN to us. She tell us the histroy of the NU. Although I studied some world histroies six year ago, I almost forgot all. I visit three main councils and see different meaningful pictures on the wall. One picture on the one of the council's wall is abstract. It is like a pizza. In my opinion, the function of the abstract painting may relax the people joining the long meeting. The UN claims not only the peace of world, but also the human rights, the poverty reduction. There are many related organizations which belong to the UN, such as World Health Organization (WHO), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and so on. In addition, I know the object of the UN is that make the world a better place. Any decision the UN made can affect the world seriously. No wander the UN take an important role in the world.

The Hallowen Parade
Happy Hallowen! This is my first time joining the Hallowen parade which I have looked forward to seeing. I see that there are a lot of witches, little princess, superman and monsters on the way to Mahattan. The costumes of some people look beautiful and elegant and others are disgusting and frightening. No matter you are a child or an adult, you can wear the characteristic costume of which you are pround. Although the parade start at seven o'clock, I go there earlier in order to chosse a good position to see the parade and take some pictures. It is so crowded and both sides of the road are filled with people. Even so, I see the interesting parade, like a camouflage party. People with horrible make-up, wearing funny fake hair and colthes have confidence to show themselves. The more unique you are, the more visitors you attract. I have stood there for two hours. Even though I feel tired and my legs pain a lot, I like this parade. It is very cool.
